Here is a short slide show of pictures taken during this year’s Loy Krathong or Yii Ping festival which takes place every November. People create colorful floats from banana leaves decorated with flowers, candles and incense sticks called Krathong. These are floated in the river with prayers of thanks and wishes for the future. Paper balloons with candles float skywards for good luck.
